The Spire Church was created in September 2018 through a partnership between Farnham United Reformed Church and Farnham Methodist Church.
Both churches have worshipped in South Street since the 1870s and have enjoyed a very friendly relationship stretching back over many decades. We have frequently shared services and exchanged preachers, as well as having joint Sunday Schools and social activities in earlier years.
As a newly combined church, we seek to respond to the Gospel of God’s love in Christ, and live out our discipleship in worship and mission. We strive to welcome everyone, young and old, engaging with the community around us, through our coffee bar, groups for children, and for older people.
We are committed to ecumenical co-operation and work not only together but also with St. Andrew’s Anglican Church who also worship and witness in the Town Centre of Farnham. Recently we have launched the Farnham Town Centre Chaplaincy together with St. Andrew’s.
We are linked together in a ‘Connexion’ of Methodist churches, circuits and districts. The Spire Church is part of the Hants-Surrey Border Circuit http://www.hsbcircuit.org.uk and the South East District www.methodistsoutheast.org. We also work closely with other United Reformed Churches in the area, and we are part of the URC’s Wessex Synod.
You are warmly invited to join us for worship.
